Frequently Asked Questions

How long does a massage session usually last?

A session is usually 60 to 90 minutes. It depends on what the client’s goals and objectives are for the session.

Why do I have to undress?

During a full-body massage, the client will be asked to remove their clothing. Therapists who practice therapeutic massage use appropriate draping techniques to maintain the client’s modesty at all times.

It is painful?

The intent of massage is not to cause pain. A client may experience slight discomfort on areas that are very tense or if they may be recovering from an injury. It is the client’s right to ask the practitioner to adjust the pressure or stroke if they are not comfortable during a session.

What happens if I experience soreness the next day?

Occasionally, a person may experience slight soreness the next day. A warm shower will help to keep the muscles relaxed. The addition of drinking extra water following a massage also helps.

How often should I get a massage?

You can receive massage as often as you like or based on what your health goals and objectives are?
